WordNet®

TeXT Handler works hand in hand with the WordNet lexicographic database for English. One can simply hover over a word to get the word information. For each word, TeXT Handler can provide
    a synonym set
    a "gloss" describing the meaning
    links to other words
        more specific words : car->limousine
        more generic words : car->vehicle
        whole: engine->car
        part: engine->piston
        entailment: snore->sleep
        cause: scare->fear
        antonym: heavy->light
        similar adj: heavy->ponderous

One can also ignore these capabilities.

WordNet® is an on-line lexical reference system whose design is inspired by current psycholinguistic theories of human lexical memory. English nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are organized into synonym sets, each representing one underlying lexical concept. Different relations link the synonym sets.
